What is a Realty Corporation
A Housing Corporation &
a Related Realty Corporation?

As used in RealtyStocks, a Realty Corporation is synonymous with a publicly traded real estate corporation or realty (real estate) company. Its principal activity is to construt, develop or own real estate and / or to engage in such ownership activities as leasing, managing, selling or buying. It is not a REIT (real estate investment trust). It involves any type of property or combinations, whether it be commercial, residential or agricultural or a specialty.
This definition includes a Real Estate Operating Company (REOC), but it may also be a broader term. The industries that include Realty Corporations in RealtyStocks are construction & engineering, development, property services (brokerage & management) and timberland - forests.

A Housing Corporation is a publicly traded company that is primarily engaged in residential housing or building. It is a not a REIT, nor a Realty Corporation, nor a Related Realty Corporation.
As used in RealtyStocks, the industries that comprise Housing Corporations are home builders and manufactured housing firms. Building material firms may or may not be included.

A Related Realty Corporation is a publicly traded company that is engaged in one or more indirect real estate activities. It is a not a REIT, nor a Realty Corporation, nor a Housing Corporation.
As used in RealtyStocks, the industries that include Related Realty Companies are contract services, leisure properties, real estate lenders and business operators consisting of health care, hotels / motels, retail and specialty areas (like prisons, restaurants and theatres). Building materials may be considered as a Related Realty Corporation or a Housing Corporation.
