USER TIPS

Following are some tips to help you better navigate on Internet sites offering frames, and to help you determine whether you can use frames or not.

1. To ENABLE frames you must use a browser which supports this feature, such as Netscape 2, AOL 3 or Internet Explorer 3. We also recommend that you use a monitor that supports a minimum resolution of 800 x 600. In addition, a high speed modem of 28.8 or higher is preferable. If you are using Prodigy, AOL 2.5, Netscape 1.2 or lower, you will not be able to use frames. Therefore, select DISABLE frames if you have a more basic system.

2. IMPORTANT to new frame users: When you are in a frame via Netscape, in order to go back or forward with a two or three button mouse (IBM compatible) system, you must click the right mouse button to obtain a back/forward menu. If you try to select "back" or the back button of your browser, you might be thrown out of our site and into the last site you accessed. (Sorta tricky, eh?)

3. If you experience a slowness when accessing the Internet, it may be due to several reasons.
4. Many monitors can be reset to provide greater viewing area by shrinking images and text using a higher resolution. The traditional resolution was 640 x 480 but this is changing. 800 x 600 is now common in most monitors, as are resolutions up to 1200 x 1060 for the larger 17-inch and 21-inch monitors. The traditional resolution is not suited well to the larger viewing area often preferred when using frames.

5. Why use frames? If you have a faster system, the slowness caused by frames can be negligible. The way it is used in InRealtySM is to allow you a better means of navigating around our site to search for information and data. In particular, our Commercial Realty Information DirectorySM (CRID) using CATEDEXSM, a categorical index system, uses a two-tier level of menus to allow for better informational access. For example, a menu of resources and sources appears on the top of the main frame, while the different categories can appear on the small left frame. Simply select categories on the small frame and the little frame icon next to the group in which your interested. Try it. You'll like it.

We hope these tips help you to navigate using frames on our site and the World Wide Web! Happy cruising!
